The Seafood Shoppe

Fresh local seafood from several area  boats is available to restaurants and retail customers at two locations in St. Augustine, the Seafood Shoppe on Riberia Street and the retail shop on A1A South.  The owner, John Weeks, has been in business here since 1991.  Five locally owned shrimp boats bring their catch  from Saint Augustine’s coastal water to his docks  4 or 5 times a week during the season.   Weeks also has four fishing boats coming to his dock that bring in their fish from as far as 250 miles out in the Atlantic.   Fish that are available include: swordfish, wahoo, mahi  mahi , trigger fish,  sheepshead, and Atlantic  tuna.  You can find all these and more for sale at both markets.

You might see Seafood Shoppe trucks delivering fresh fish and seafood to several independent restaurants in our area or you might catch sight of the fishing boats leaving our channels.  They just  might be bringing home the catch for the  Seafood Shoppe.
